  • First Community Health Center in the nation opens with a Day Care facility
  • Columbia Point Health Center – Dorchester, MA
  • Columbia Point Infant & Toddlers Day Care Center – Dorchester, MA

1970 – 1985

  • Neponset Health Center-Dorchester, MA
  • Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) – Dorchester, MA
  • Mary Ellen McCormack Health Center (name changed to Harbor Family Health Center-divested 2008)
  • Columbia Point Health Center changes its name in honor of the founders of the community health center movement in the United States to the Geiger Gibson Community Health Center

1985 – 1995

  • Harbor Health Services, Inc. becomes the parent organization to the:
    • Geiger Gibson Community Health Center
    • Columbia Point Infant and Toddlers Day Care Program
    • Neponset Health Center
    • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program
    • Neponset Community Services

1995 – 2003

  • Ellen Jones Community Dental Center – Harwich, MA
  • Elder Service Plan – Dorchester, MA
  • Mid Upper Cape Community Health Center – Hyannis, MA

2003-2015

  • Mid Upper Cape Community Health Center is renamed Harbor Community Health Center-Hyannis and relocates to Attucks Lane- Hyannis, MA
  • Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth opens in Cordage Park- Plymouth, MA
  • Community Health Center Movement Celebrates 50th Anniversary
