Position Title: Recruitment and Training Specialist
Years of Service: 14 years
Brief Description: I am responsible for recruiting all general, allied health and provider staff for all Harbor Health agencies including advertising open positions, screening resumes and referring candidates to the appropriate hiring manager. I also coordinate training for staff including New Employee Orientation, CPR and software training.
What do you like about coming to work each day? My job is never boring! I interact with all levels of employees at all of our sites. I am involved in a wide variety of activities and participate in special committees promoting neighborhood health initiatives and improving processes.
What keeps you excited and committed to working at Harbor Health? At Harbor, I have met and worked with many wonderful and committed people. The location is very convenient for my family; my benefits are great and the company has given me many opportunities for growth.

 

Anitra Leonard, MM

Position Title: Operations Director, Neponset Health Center
Years of Service: 10.5 years
Brief Description: I am responsible for ensuring that the main support systems of the Neponset Health Center are operating efficiently in order to maximize patient access, patient and staff satisfaction. This includes communications, patient registration and scheduling, and facilities management of both grounds and building.
What do you like about coming to work each day?
There are many things that motivate me to come to work each day, but the main motivator is the clients we serve. It is refreshing to know that at the end of the day I was able to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients looking to receive comprehensive, quality care in a convenient location.
What keeps you excited and committed to working at Harbor Health? My excitement and commitment are based on the daily challenges of my job and serving the community by doing my very best each and every time a client presents at the health center for medical care.

Ly Nguyen

Position Title: Interpreter and Diabetes Case Manager
Years of Service: 10 years
Brief Description: At Neponset Health Center, I am a medical interpreter and the Diabetes Case Manager. Interpreters at Harbor are essential bridges between the patients and the providers. The agency provided and supported me with professional growth opportunities through training to become the diabetes case manager.
What do you like about coming to work each day? I love to come to work because I’m highly aware of my personal mission and professional duties; my work at Neponset Health Center allows for the two to meet. The environment here is friendly and people are very nice to work with. I get recognized by my supervisor as well as by others in the organization.
What keeps you excited and committed to working at Harbor Health? Knowing that my contribution to the Neponset Health Center is special; something that may not exist in other places of employment. I know, that what I do every day, benefits my community.
