Health Insurance for All!
At Harbor Health, we believe and strive towards reducing and eliminating health care disparities due to lack of insurance. In order to make good on our promise of providing access to care for all, we provide financial counseling and enrollment assistance to programs sponsored by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
If you are uninsured or under insured, do not let that stop you or your family from accessing quality health care. Stop by one of our community health centers and ask to speak with a financial counselor. This service is free of charge, and it takes only a few minutes to determine eligibility and apply for coverage.
On April 12, 2006, the State of Massachusetts signed the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Law (www.mahealthconnector.org) mandating nearly all residents in the Commonwealth to have health insurance. Our financial counselors have access to the Virtual Gateway which makes screening for benefits and applying for coverage hassle free. During your initial meeting with one of our enrollment staff, you will receive information and assistance navigating through the process of applying for a number of programs including MassHealth, Commonwealth Care, Commonwealth Choice, Healthy Safety Net (free care), the Children’s Medical Security Plan, Healthy Start (a program dedicated to meeting the needs of pregnant women), Medicare Part D Plans, Prescription Advantage Program to name a few. Our financial counselors will also make sure that there are no lapses to your health care coverage.

Our Financial Counselors and support staff speak Vietnamese, Spanish and Portuguese. If you speak any other languages, you will be provided with translation services.
