Quality & Improvement Initiatives
Executive Summary
This first edition of Harbor Health Services Inc. Score Card aims to describe the process clinicians and administrators take to ensure high quality services on a range of medical and social issues for every patient. In addition, this publication documents Harbor Health’s quality data and, when possible, compares these data with state and national statistics. These comparisons enable our community – patients, staff, stakeholders, policymakers, and supporters –to evaluate our services among other leaders in the healthcare industry. The intention is to provide data and analysis on four central areas of the healthcare industry. Using available national and state data, alongside benchmarks outlined in the National Healthy People 2010 Campaign, this publication documents the depth and breadth of services offered at Harbor Health. An intense review of the most recent quality data demonstrates that Harbor Health meets and/or exceeds many of the national targets set forth in Healthy People 2010.
