Harbor Health is committed to protecting the privacy of its online users. We do not share voluntarily provided, personally identifiable information for any purpose other than its intended use. We adhere to the requirements outlined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) legislation, which ensures security and privacy of an individual’s medical records.

Information Collection and Use
Web log file data
We collect some basic Web log file data about website visitors. This information includes domain names, Web site traffic patterns, and server usage statistics. This information is used for site management and administration and to improve the content and overall performance of our web site.
Online Patient Registration Forms
Harbor Health Services, Inc. provides Online Patient Registration forms which may require confidential, personal, and health related information. For the protection of our patients, there is no option to fill out the forms on-line. We ask that all new patients download, print and fill out the forms before coming to their scheduled appointment.
Subscription to our electronic newsletter and announcements
As an on-line subscriber to our electronic newsletter, you are providing Harbor Health with your email address, which it is kept in a private email list. We do not use the email list for any other purposes other than sending you electronic announcements and our electronic newsletter. We will not share or sell your information to any third party and the e-mail address provided will not be used to communicate any personal medical information or advice. At any time you may remove your name and personal information from our email list by emailing [email protected] or by calling 617-533-2242.
Email Communications
Our site offers a mechanism to contact us with general questions. Please note that your email, like most Internet email messaging services, does not provide a secured method of delivery for you to communicate with us and other third parties. It is possible that your email communication, if not encrypted, may be accessed or viewed inappropriately by another Internet user while in transit to us. If you wish to keep your information completely private, you should not use email to contact us.
Harbor Health does not collect your email address unless you voluntarily submit it to us or choose to communicate with us via email. We do not sell or rent any email addresses. We try to respond to email messages requiring a response within two business days. If you use the “contact us” page to communicate with us, your message and email address will be forwarded to the appropriate division within the organization for follow up. If you are a patient, we encourage you to use our on-line “customer satisfaction survey” tool, when you do that, your message and email address will be forwarded to the Executive Director of the division where you are receiving services. Please do not email patient health information (PHI), as that information is confidential and should only be discussed with your physician.
We may send email communications to you related to any changes in our services, hours of operation, any organizational updates, our electronic newsletter and other general health topics that maybe of interest to you.
Harbor Health Social Media Terms and Conditions
We encourage your comments and questions on social media sites that are maintained by Harbor Health including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Youtube. We can’t respond to every comment or question, and our social media sites are not intended for serious or urgent medical questions; for that, please contact your nearest health provider and for emergencies dial 911. Comments are reviewed before they’re posted, and those that are deemed inappropriate or off-topic will not be published. We are as multi-cultural as the communities that we serve and have no tolerance for offensive, argumentative, provoking, or hateful comments.
Commenting or posting on a social media site is at the user’s discretion; please remember your post can be seen by the world and will remain visible for some time. Avoid providing personal or sensitive information about you or your family because you never know who will read your post or comment.
