At Harbor Health, you will find caring providers and support services to help you lead a healthy life. We offer HIV prevention, treatment, and support services to make sure everyone can get the care they need.

HIV Prevention

Harbor Health offers HIV prevention services including:

  • Free and confidential rapid testing at our THRIVE Clinic
  • HIV risk counseling and prevention education
  • Free safer sex supplies
  • PrEP Navigation
  • PreP/Pep for primary care patients

HIV Rapid Testing

Harbor Health offers free and confidential HV rapid testing during our THRIVE clinics. We offer an oral swab or finger stick test. Results are available in 20 minutes or less.

THRIVE Clinic

PrEP Navigation

PrEP stands for “Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis.” It is  a daily pill for people who do not have HIV but are at high risk of getting it.

Harbor Health offers free and confidential PrEP Navigation services to help you:

  • Learn about your risk for HIV, about PrEP, and how to talk with your medical provider
  • Sign up for health insurance and determine your coverage for PrEP
  • Sign up for PrEP financial assistance programs so you can afford the medication
  • Connect you with a Harbor Health provider or connect you to a PrEP provider in your community
  • Connect you to our Harbor Health pharmacy to receive a prescription — we offer delivery by mail!

Harbor Health’s client services medical case management assists eligible individuals with connection to:

  • Medical care
  • Dental care
  • Behavioral health and psychiatry
  • Vision care
  • Podiatry
  • Appointment coordination
  • Medication assistance programs
  • Housing assistance
  • Transportation assistance
  • Other support and social services

Housing Assistance Program and Intervention (HAPI)

Harbor Health’s HAPI program works to:

  • Stabilize an applicants housing
  • Reduce housing insecurity and homelessness
  • Increase positive health outcomes a

The program offers start-up rental assistance and housing search support services to eligible individuals within the Boston Eligible Metropolitan Area including Plymouth.

Client Services Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA)

Harbor Health’s EFA program assists eligible individuals with short-term financial assistance with critical life expenses.  Applicants must need immediate emergency assistance to support recovering from a crisis or to stabilize health.

The EFA program assists clients in need of:

  • Utilities or fuel assistance
  • Medication
  • Medical/vision care
  • Transportation
  • Rental assistance
  • Food
  • Other emergency needs
